Fridays with Julie, Sour Cream mini biscuits

Easy Sour Cream Mini Biscuits

I'm not sure where this simple but delish recipe originated, but one thing I'm certain is that it was in the South!  I have the written recipe in two different cookbooks - but I actually learned about them from a friend.  That said, the recipe that I'm sharing can be found in "Perennials" a cookbook published in 1984 by the Junior Service League in Gainesville, GA and can also be found in Paula Deen's "The Lady and Sons Savannah Country Cookbook."  See, I told you this MUST be a southern recipe.   These are some of the easiest and yummiest biscuits to make and there are only 3 ingredients.

Sour Cream Mini Biscuits

1 Cup Butter (2 sticks)
1 Cup sour cream
2 cups self-rising flour

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Combine all ingredients with an electric mixer.  Spoon into greased mini muffin pan.  Bake for 10-12 minutes or until brown.

Yep, it's that simple.

Sorry about the horrible food photography.  I can't seem to get anything ready before the sun goes down.
